It’s never too late to learn. We do not have direct responsibility for the provision of education services, they are managed by Norfolk County Council; however, here are some pointers as to what facilities and services are available in Breckland.

Work-based learning

The special work-linked features of work based learning enable learning to take place at, through – and be centred on – the working environment. By using an actual work role and an organisations’ objectives as the focus for academic enquiry Work Based Learning is uniquely structured to benefit both the individual employee and the employing organisations.

Training from Breckland Council

The Skills Development Unit has a Learning Development Vehicle (LDV) which is taking learning into rural areas. The vehicle is equipped with all the latest technology including, five work stations, laptops, printers, TV and Video, seating and presentation smartboard. The vehicle is fully accessible for wheelchairs and those with mobility problems having an electronic lift system installed. University of East Anglia

The University of East Anglia (UEA) offers part time courses and aims to provide an environment that equips students with the knowledge, skills and experiences which employers of graduates demand. These, together with the traditional benefits of good quality courses and the social opportunities provided at a campus university, give UEA students an excellent start.
