The Sustainable Communities Team is committed to support the arts for the economic, social, educational and cultural benefits they bring to the community.
The arts development service in Breckland creates opportunities for people to take part in arts activity within the district, working with a variety of groups and partners. We also support and encourage live music, dance or drama performances and festivals in the district.
Breckland Arts Network
The network brings together voluntary and community art groups, amateur artists, professional artists and art organisations. Informal networking time allows the group to discuss and promote their work, whilst meeting other artists. The arts network is also given presentations, information and updates on arts opportunities.
Holiday Activities
A wide range of arts activities are on offer every half term and summer holiday for children and young people to take part in. Sessions take place in our more rural areas, as well as central locations, offering craft, music, drama, dance, digital arts and many other art activities to our younger residents in the district.
Norfolk Open Studios
Breckland Council supports Open Studios for Norfolk, which is managed by Norfolk and Norwich Festival. This is a popular event for artists in Breckland, when their studios are open to the public. For further information please go to: www.nnfestival.org.uk/openstudios
