 What can you do to help you and your family to ensure you are prepared
for a major incident, emergency or accident?
You should take time to find out and plan for the following:
Where and how to turn off water, gas and electricity supplies to your
home.
How your family will stay in contact in the event of an emergency.
- Plan a place to meet in the event of an incident
- Make sure you have contact numbers
- Ask a friend to act as a contact point that all members of the family can
contact and say they are safe.
Remember if you have an elderly or vulnerable relative or neighbour
that they may need your help.
Know how to tune into your local radio station. Your local radio
stations are:
Put together an emergency supply kit
Be aware of severe weather warnings Met
Office and plan ahead if possible.
