Breckland Council Funding for Community Projects

All funding schemes offered by Breckland Council have set deadlines for applications of the following dates. Please ensure that you have completed your application forms and attach all relevant information by the applicable date to ensure your application is processed within the time schedule of your project.

Deadline dates:

17th August 2009, 25th September 2009, 28th November 2009, 5th February 2010

Decision dates:

15th September 2009, 27th October 2009, 12th January 2010, 2nd March 2010

Activity Grant Scheme

Breckland Council has a new Activity Grant Scheme. We will fund between £50 and £500 for projects that

broaden the range of activities and facilities for the local community
enable people to develop local initiatives
increase participation in community activities
respect racial diversity, tackle inequalities and improved mental health well-being for the local community

Community Appraisal Grant Scheme

The Community Appraisal grant is for funding Village Appraisals and Action Plans and other Community Consultation exercises. Breckland Council will support Appraisals with a grant of up to 50% of the estimated cost, up to a maximum grant of £1000. Previous grants have gone towards the cost of doing Appraisals, including printing, design, hiring a venue, publicity and computer packages. A decision will be made within one month of an application.
