Business security and crime reduction

' '

Crime is a cause of concern for many businesses. We do not have a full picture of the extent to which crime affects business as in most instances crime reports do not differentiate between whether the victim was an individual or a business.

Breckland Community Safety Team
As part of the Breckland Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership the Council’s Community Safety team are working to reduce the number of crime incidences in the Breckland area focusing on Anti-Social Behaviour, Town Centre Crime Reduction, Shop/Business Watch Schemes and improving the CCTV network throughout Breckland.

Fison Way Security
A group of 10 businesses are working together in Thetford on the Fison Way Industrial Estate to take action against crime occurring and the development of a more pleasing environment to work in.

Action Against Business Crime
Action Against Business Crime (AABC) is the national organisation for business crime reduction partnerships (BCRPs) and is also a partnership between the British Retail Consortium and the Home Office to expand the work and impact of BCRPs.

AABC provides a national focus for efforts of business crime partnerships working to reduce crime against business across the country.

Business crime reduction benefits large and small businesses alike and has a real impact on the environment, working conditions, violence, company profitability, job creation, inward investment and re-generation.  For more information please visit www.brc.org.uk
