FOR NEW APPLICATIONS AND ENQUIRIES, PLEASE NOTE:-

Due to the introduction of 1APP and the fees increases, our workload and the number of applications received has gone up significantly.  As a result, the validation process, in the short term, will be delayed, including our acknowledgement of applications.

Given our need to concentrate resources towards dealing with formal applications, this will have ramifications as to the speed with which we can deal with informal enquiries.

We are given to understand that due to the increase in volume of applications submitted through the Portal, they are experiencing some technical difficulties.  We would ask that you direct any enquiries to the Planning Portal.

DESIGN AND ACCESS STATEMENTS

From 10th August 2006, a statement covering the design principles and access considerations of your proposal needs to be submitted with most applications for planning permission and/or listed building consent.  The aim is to encourage higher design quality.  If you don't provide this statement along with your application, it will be returned to you without being registered.  For more information click here.
