Town centres

Cigarette bins can be a good way of keeping the outside of your building tidy. Emptying an ashtray of cigarettes is much less time consuming than sweeping or litter picking individual butts.

Keep Britain Tidy (EnCams) have a list of cigarette bin manufactures who offer a variety of discounts when you quote ‘EnCams’.

Bins vary in size, price and style and can be found here.

Wall mounted cigarette bins

If your building is listed you will have to ask Breckland Council planning department for permission to install a bin.

To check if your building is listed contact planning@breckland.gov.uk or call 01362 656870.

You must seek the building owners’ permission before installing a bin on the property.

Floor mounted cigarette bins

To ask for permission to install a floor mounted bin please contact you local town or parish council asking them to submit a request to Norfolk County Council Highways department to place street furniture in the highway.
