Principal Income Officer

Grade 6 - £33,714 to £39,129 per Annum (pay award pending)

Based at Thetford - 37 hours per week

(Employees may be called upon to work in any office of the Anglia Revenues Partnership)

The Anglia Revenues Partnership is currently a partnership between Forest Heath District Council, Breckland Council and East Cambridgeshire District Council. The partnership is responsible for the delivery of Revenues and Benefits services for all three Authorities achieving top quartile performance.

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and flexible individual to lead our busy benefits team based at Breckland House, Thetford. You will be expected to liaise with outside organisations, including members from each of the three authorities, stakeholders, government departments, and landlords, whilst acting as an ambassador for the ARP. You will be required to lead and motivate your teams whilst achieving top quartile performance targets, and providing continued and improved quality service to our customers.

As a Principal Income Officer you will be reliable and capable of working under pressure whilst juggling a varied work load. You will be responsible for assisting the management team of the ARP in delivering a seamless service ensuring staff output is maximised, whilst retaining accuracy.

Candidates require a good standard of general education and ideally have two years managerial experience or a relevant managerial qualification. You will preferably possess some experience of working in a Revenues team and will have an IRRV or management qualification with sound knowledge of Council Tax and good computer literacy. The nature of this post is such that you must be able to work at any of our satellite offices using core systems. Your enthusiasm to use new information technology and previous experience of ACADEMY and COMINO/CIVICA edms would be a great advantage.
