Emergency Planning

Emergencies are something we all hope will never happen but which we need to be prepared for in case they occur.   Breckland Council has an important role to play in the event of an emergency in our district or county.   In accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 we work closely with the emergency services and our partner agencies within the Norfolk Resilience Forum to ensure we have contingency plans in place to respond to a major incident affecting our communities or environment.  Our main aim is to minimise the impact of a major incident on the day-to-day lives of our residents and to assist in the recovery and return to normality.
