    Comprehensive Area Assessment

Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) is a new way of assessing how effectively local partnerships are working together to deliver local people's priorities. It’s a joint assessment made by a group of independent watchdogs about the performance of local public services. Assessments will be made publicly available every year starting in November 2009, and will provide an annual snapshot of quality of life in the area. The CAA framework document sets out how CAA will be delivered.

    CAA:

    • is about people and places

    • will give people a snapshot of life in their local area each year

The Council is determined to ensure high quality customer-focused services for all our residents and visitors to Breckland. The Council also wants services to go on getting better year by year. We measure our performance frequently against national performance indicators which enable us to compare our performance with other councils. We also set ourselves targets against local indicators that are of particular importance in the district.
