Community development is about helping to increase the strength, effectiveness and quality of community life in Breckland.
The key purpose of Community Development work is collectively to bring about social change by working with communities to:
(1) Help identify their needs, opportunities, rights and responsibilities
(2) Help them plan, organise and take action, and to
(3) Help evaluate the effectiveness and impact of that action, all in ways which challenge oppression and tackle inequalities.
