Our environmental services department is responsible for conservation of both the built and natural environment. We are involved in a range of conservation activities, from incorporating conservation principles in our planning to conserving wildlife. Our conservation services:
- specialist advisors in the fields of archaeology, historic buildings, urban design, landscape design and ecology
- protection and enhancement of the built and natural environment
- care for and access to countryside sites, promoting greater access to the wider countryside
- managing ‘protected’ trees
