We offer:


Highfield Level 2 Award in  Food Safety (£55.00 per person)

This one day course (9.30am to 4pm) will enable food handlers to develop a firm grasp of the importance of food safety systems, techniques and the procedures involved. They will gain an appreciation of food safety hazards and the confidence and expertise to deliver food safely to customers.  For more information on this training please see Fact Sheet:  Food Safety

Highfield Level 2 Food Safety Refresher Award  (£38.00 per person)

This half day course (9.30am to 1.30pm) is ideal for candidates who have taken the Level 2 Award in Food Safety more than 3 years ago and want to update their knowledge.  For more information on the training please see Fact Sheet:  Food Safety (Refresher)

Highfield Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety (£195.00 per person)

This three day course is intended for those in a supervisory role within catering. It will give a wider knowledge of food safety legislation and effective supervision.

How to improve your Food Hygiene Rating (£30 per person).

This a half day course (9:30am - 1pm). The course is tailored specific to the business needs. Designed for managers and staff to enable increased standards and better food hygiene ratings. Staff will receive expert help from a food safety officer and be able to ask questions in an informal setting. Businesses will be given an action plan if they wish and they will also recieve feedback as this is extremely useful and specific to each business needs whilst presenting very good value for money.

Courses are held at Dereham, Thetford, Diss, Wymondham & Loddon.

Breckland Trainers are Food and Health & Safety officers, Highfield registered trainers and members of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Between them they have a wealth of experience in food safety and occupational health and safety from working in city, rural coastal and port health authorities.


At the end of the day's Level 2 Food Safety training and Refresher course, candidates will sit a short multiple choice test.  This will be sent to Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance who will issue certificates to the successful candidate.
