Breckland’s Big Switch and Save could help you save money on your gas and electricity bills.

The scheme uses ‘people power’ to negotiate a lower price on energy bills for as many households in Breckland as possible. By grouping together thousands of households, it is possible to negotiate much lower energy tariffs.

How does it work?
You use your name, address and a recent energy bill to register your interest and let us know your current tariff. It’s free to do and there’s no obligation.

We then work with our partners, ichoosr, to get our group the best deal, and tell you exactly how much your household could save.

What next?
You decide whether or not to make the switch. There is no obligation and no charges. If you go ahead, we organise the change in contract. It’s easy!

Why should I do it?
You could make real savings on your energy bills for the year of the new contract we find for you. Our scheme does the complex and time consuming work for you, all you do is save the money.

We previously held a Switch and Save auction in November 2013 which saw those who signed up make an average saving of £104.69. One resident even saved £350!

Looking for a good deal on oil?
Norfolk Rural Community Council is encouraging residents to take advantage of its collective oil purchasing scheme and to buy oil early to avoid the higher prices usually seen during winter.
