Introduction of Fees - Discharge of Planning Conditions

On the 8th June 2009, Breckland Council introduced the nationally set charges for the discharge of planning conditions.

The appropriate fee will therefore now be payable where a written request is made for the discharge of one or more conditions on the same permission.  The request should be accompanied by all relevant and necessary information to enable the Local Planning Authority to confirm that the requirements of the condition(s) have been duly satisfied.

Fees will be £85 per request, or in the case of householder developments £25 per request, where the extension or alteration to the dwellinghouse or other works are within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse.

As set out in the Regulations, the Council is required to deal with all such requests within 8 weeks.  In the event of no response being sent within 12 weeks from the date of receipt the fee will be refunded.

A request to discharge conditions may be made by letter or via the Planning Portal.
