The Council is required to keep its parish boundaries and electoral arrangements under review.
It may recommend changes in parish boundaries to rectify any local anomalies and at the request of the Electoral Commission put forward proposals for electoral changes to achieve a more equal distribution of electors per councillor.
Both processes involve full consultation with local councils and the public.
The Council is a consultee on changes to County or Parliamentary Constituency boundaries.
