 We recognise that the Council through its services and operations has an impact on the environment and is committed to working to a more sustainable future. We are starting to consult on a new strategy which sets out the key challenges facing both the Council and the District as a whole and identifies the environmental aims, objectives and priorities.
Engaging with a wide range of partners, organisations and businesses will be crucial to the success of the Strategy and will lead to the development of a detailed action plan.
The strategy acknowledges the impact of climate change on our community in the 21st century and commits the Council to tackling the causes and effects of a changing climate on our district.
