 Many local government elections will be held around the country on Thursday, 1 May 2008. Breckland Council, however, are not holding elections.
Elections are restricted to those authorities who elect by thirds; one third of members being voted in each of the first three years of the four year term. Elections in Breckland are for the whole authority and its full council of 54 district councillors. Elections are held every four years, the next being due in May 2011.
