Roads

Breckland and Norfolk as a whole is served by two main routes:

The A47 links the Midlands and North through to Norwich and Great Yarmouth and the 'Gateway' eastern ports, while the A11 is the main route from the south and the M11.

The A47 has been designated as part of the Trans-European Road Network, proving that the area has working links with the rest of Europe.

A series of 'A' roads interlace Breckland with the rest of Norfolk, so whether your needs are distribution or merely leisure, the area can be easily accessed.

By road London is only 2 hours away, Cambridge 1 hour and Norwich just 1 hour.

Rail

Regular services are available from Norwich to the rest of the country. London is less than two hours away and Breckland has stations at Thetford, Attleborough, Roudham and Eccles Road.

Air

Norwich Airport offers excellent facilities with low cost car parking and one of the cheapest duty free shops in Europe. There are worldwide daily connections via Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport to over 140 cities including direct flights to the USA and charter flights to many European holiday destinations. Domestic services include Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Teesside and Manchester. You can now fly, direct from Norwich, to Dominica and Orlando. Sea

The East Anglian Ports are invaluable both to holiday makers and companies trading with Europe. Their capacities and handling facilities are continually improving. The port at Great Yarmouth is the closest UK port to Northern Europe for general cargo shipping whilst Harwich is the main port for passengers and container cargo, and offers links to the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Germany. Slightly further a field is Felixstowe, with its excellent container capacity it handles half of the UK's container traffic.
