Covid 19 Business Grants
About this form
This form is for businesses in Breckland to apply for Covid-19 business grants, administered by Breckland Council. It is used to connect applicants to the different options for grant funding currently available through resources and policy set nationally. This form is for both the Local Restrictions Support Grant and the Additional Restrictions Grant.
There is also a one-off Closed Business lockdown payment for businesses with a rateable value.
Grant amounts are set using the national scheme guidance, based on the size of a business calculated using its rateable value.
Who is currently eligible?
Grant funding is available to businesses directly impacted by the Covid-19 restrictions - including Tier 2 (up to 26th December) and Tier 4 for 26th December and for 5th January onward.
To be eligible an applicant must:
- Be a Breckland-based business or charity (identified by means such as business rates number, Companies House records, or VAT number)
- Be significantly impacted by the restrictions within the relevant scheme (i.e. legally required to close in Tier 4)
- Fit the criteria set nationally for individual schemes
- Demonstrate they were open and trading immediately prior to the start of the current restriction
When will I get paid / how will I get paid?
We intend to make regular payments based on how long the Tier restrictions are in place.
Please note, as we are entirely reliant on external funding, we will only be able to keep making payments where we have the resource to fit.
What do I need to complete the form?
You will need some key information about your business, and how it is impacted by restrictions.
You will also either need to supply your business rates and property details (this information is available on your 2020-21 Breckland business rates bill or you can contact our business rates team on 01842 756568) or you will need to upload equivalent evidence for us to validate your business is a current legitimate going concern.
Your business will not qualify for support under this scheme if it was in administration, insolvent, or a striking off order was made at the time the local restrictions started.
