08/11/18: Can you help Santa find his lost Elves across Breckland?

Paul Claussen and Santa elvesHave you seen any naughty elves in Breckland? Santa Claus is desperate to find over 100 naughty elves who have decided to take a break from the North Pole and hide amongst the independent shops, libraries and leisure centres across Breckland.

From November 10th to December 31st Santa is asking everyone to look out for over 100 cheeky elves hidden within independent shops in Swaffham, Watton, Dereham, Thetford and Attleborough, and is even offering a reward to residents who find 12 of the elves! Breckland Council is helping to reunite Santa Claus with his elves by posting a full list of participating shops that could be helping these mischievous elves to hide, with a further 5 Golden Elves thought to be hiding at ShopAppy.com.

The first 250 people who help Santa Claus find 12 of his missing elves will receive a sweet reward, while one lucky winner will enjoy a £250 high street shopping voucher. To take part, people need to complete the entry form - which is available from all participating shops  - by matching 11 Elf names with the shops they are hiding in, then by locating  1 of the 5 Golden Elves hidden in the Breckland Market Town pages on ShopAppy.com, a website aimed at promoting local, independent shops. Scans or photographs of the completed forms should then be emailed to elves@breckland.gov.uk.

Commenting direct from the North Pole, Santa Claus said: "It's the busiest time of the year for me at the moment and I really need all my elves' help. I hope people will keep their eyes peeled and help me keep my Christmas deliveries on track! The first 250 entries will receive a gift for me as a special thank you for helping me find my naughty elves. Good luck everyone!"

Cllr Paul Claussen, Executive Member of Place at Breckland Council added: "Our 12 Elves at Christmas trail is a great way for families to enjoy local Christmas shopping trips, discover what independent shops can offer you this Christmas across Breckland and potentially win £250 in high street vouchers. I'm delighted that Santa has asked the residents of Breckland to help in find the elves and I encourage every child (and adult) to help him on this special mission!"
