Community Funding

Breckland Council has several funding opportunities for local communities, each with its own criteria and eligibility. 

 

Community Match Funding - Applications Open December 2019

£5000 match funding grants will be available for community projects that align to the councils corporate plan. More detail coming soon.

To request an email alert informing you of when they go live, please email community@breckland.gov.uk with your name, name of the organisation you represent and the grant scheme that you are interested in.


WWII Commemoratory Grant Scheme 2020 - Applications open until 31st January 2020

Grants of up to £500 are available for community projects or celebrations to commemorate the 75th Anniversaries of VE and VJ Day, 80th Anniversaries of Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain. 

Successful applicants will be a charity, church/PCC, parish or town council, school, social enterprise/ CIC or voluntary/ community group based in Breckland.

Our Breckland Lottery

A weekly online lottery to support local Good Causes in Breckland, who provide activities or services for residents.  

The initiative is free to join and all eligible organisations receive 50% of every ticket sold. Find out if your group is eligiblehere.

Our Breckland Lottery Community Fund

All verified Our Breckland Lottery Good Causes are eligible to apply for up to £1,000, simply by recruiting new supporters. 

Applications are now open and will close once all funds have been allocated.

Section 106 

Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, as amended, contributions are sought from developers towards open space, recreation and outdoor play provision, as a result of  new developments. The terms of each agreement vary according to the timescale and locality outlined in each individual agreement. 

Your town or parish may have access to funds, which can be used to benefit the community's outdoor offer.  Find out if funds are available in your area: planning@breckland.gov.uk

Market Town Initiative 

MTI partnership funding is available to organisations with projects that focus on "Supporting market towns in the district to be attractive to new businesses and visitors to the area whilst meeting the needs of rural communities and businesses."
