We are working hard to minimise the disruption the coronavirus pandemic has on our delivery of services to local people.
However, in the event of pressure on our resources or emerging national guidance, we may need to prioritise essential services and caring for residents who are most vulnerable.
Below is a summary of our services and their latest status.
Please note that in addition to below local events may be subject to cancellation at short notice. Please check before you travel.
|Customer Contact Centre||Elizabeth House (Dereham) and Breckland House (Thetford) remain closed to the public, but you can still contact us via our website or email. For all urgent queries, customers in need of food or medical deliveries, or businesses in need of advice and support - call us. A limited number of face-to-face appointments (bookable in advance-only) are also available to support our most vulnerable customers. Normal hours are currently 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, we can provide emergency/urgent support only.|
|Environmental Services (eg. bin collections)||All bin collections operating normally.|
New and replacement bins may take around 10 days to be delivered
|Housing and homelessness||Face to face housing options enquiries are suspended, but service otherwise operating as normal.|
There are currently limited properties available but we are working with our housing providers to get these ready for let as soon as possible.

|Planning||Face to face meetings suspended.|
We're currently unable to accept paper copies of planning applications.

We are now accepting Land Charges Searches but it is unlikely, given current COVID 19 restrictions, that our normal 10 day response time can be adhered to. Access to the offices continues to be limited and therefore there will be delays obtaining historical planning information held on microfiche. It is still possible to submit search requests and make enquiries via firstname.lastname@example.org

|Licensing||All face to face visits and inspections are currently suspended. Advice is available via email|
