Breckland Council has announced its regular Cabinet meetings will start touring across the district market towns, offering residents even greater access to attend meetings and submit questions directly to the Leader of Breckland Council, Cllr Sam Chapman-Allen, and his cabinet colleagues.

The Cabinet meetings are normally held in Elizabeth House in Dereham and livestreamed online, however a new schedule will see meetings alternate between Dereham and the various market towns across Breckland. The market town tour begins on 6 June at Attleborough Town Council office, followed by Thetford Carnegie Rooms (19 September). Members of the public will have the opportunity to ask the Cabinets questions directly between 09:30 and 10:00, with the Cabinet starting official agenda business from 10:00.

Cllr Sam Chapman-Allen, Leader of Breckland Council, commented: "I am delighted to announce our Cabinet meetings are now back on the road after a two-year pause due to the pandemic. I invite my fellow Breckland residents to attend their local meeting, ask questions directly to me and my colleagues and watch first hand local democracy in action."
