Sex Establishment Licensing Policy
Consultation on our Sex Establishment Licensing Policy 2025
Have your say on the review of our Sex Establishment Licensing Policy 2025.
Background
Our current Sex Establishment Licensing Policy has been in place since 2013. Under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (as amended), Breckland Council is responsible for the licensing of sex establishments and sexual entertainment venues in our area. The policy provides information and guidance to applicants, licence holders and interested parties, including local people and businesses, on the general approach the Licensing Authority will take when making licensing decisions and carrying out its responsibilities under the Act.
What we are consulting on
We are now reviewing the current policy. We want to understand if it provides sufficient and satisfactory information on how we administer the licensing function both for applicants and everyone else. We also want to know if you think there is anything missing from the policy.
Have your say
The closing date for comments is midnight on 31 August 2025.
