Table of Fares

Breckland Council is able to specify the maximum fare you can be charged when hiring a Hackney Carriage.

Tariff 1
For the first mile/480 seconds or part thereof£5.00
For distance exceeding one mile:
For each additional 176 yards/48 seconds or part thereof		£0.30

 

Tariff 2
For Sunday hirings (6.00 am to midnight)
For the first mile/480 seconds or part thereof		£6.50
For distances exceeding one mile:
For each additional 176 yards/48 seconds or part thereof		£0.40

 

Tariff 3

Operative nighttime hirings (11.30 pm to 6.00 am) and hirings on public and bank holidays
For the first mile/480 seconds or part thereof

£7.50      
For distances exceeding one mile:
For each additional 176 yards/48 seconds or part thereof		£0.45

 

Extra Charges
For Hackney Carriages licensed to carry more than four passengers, an increase of 50% when more than four passengers are carried 
For soiling the Hackney Carriage resulting in cleaning being required£100.00           

All charges are inclusive of VAT
