Surrender Vehicle Licence

In order to surrender the vehicle licence the customer must return:

• Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Rear Plate
• Internal Stickers
• Paper Licence

The documents should be returned along with a covering letter confirming the reason and date of surrender to:

Breckland Council
Elizabeth House,
Walpole Loke,
Dereham,
NR19 1EE

All plates and stickers must be removed from the surrender date and the vehicle cannot be used as a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire vehicle.

Breckland Council will not issue any refunds for any remaining licence period.

The customer should amend their insurance to remove Hackney Carriage/Private Hire cover.

The vehicle may be used for domestic use again.
