Council Tax - Reductions and Discounts appointments

A Reduction or Discount form will require the following information from you:

• Council Tax Account Reference
  • If you are visiting us for a face to face appointment and do not have a letter containing your council tax account number, please see the webpage other verification options for the other proof of identification that we will accept.
• Details and evidence to support the type of discount/reduction you are applying for:
  • Single person discount
  • Student discount
  • Empty/second homes
  • Second adult rebate
  • Carers discount
  • British and visiting forces

Please note: If you are applying for a Severe Mental Impairment discount, you will require a form to be sent to you through the post or by email as this requires a doctor's signature. Therefore, this application cannot be completed by an appointment.
