We are seeking a Assistant Planning Obligations and Monitoring Officer to assist with the administration, monitoring, and tracking of planning obligations, including Section 106 agreements, unilateral undertakings, and related legal documents.
You will:
- Assist with the administration, monitoring, and tracking of planning obligations, including Section 106 agreements, unilateral undertakings, and related legal documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on systems and databases, including financial contributions, trigger points, deadlines, and compliance status.
- Support the collection, allocation, and spend monitoring of financial contributions, liaising with internal services, Legal, Finance, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare standard correspondence, reports, and summaries relating to planning obligations.
- Assist with data returns, audits, and annual infrastructure or planning obligation reports.
- Comply with Health and Safety rules for the safety of yourself and others.
- Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, standard operating practices, with recommendations for action and continuous improvement.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role as required

- Experience of administrative or technical support work within a planning, legal, regulatory, or local authority environment.
- Basic understanding of the planning system, including planning conditions, compliance, or legal agreements (or willingness to learn).
- Experience of maintaining accurate records and managing data on electronic systems.
- Ability to assess the acceptability and/or implications of complex technical reports
- Highly organised and able to adhere to processes ensuring key targets are consistently met
- Excellent computer literacy and IT skills, including an understanding of the way systems can be developed to best meet user needs
- Effectively manage own workload, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate well, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and customers
- Confidence to deal with day-to-day issues as they arise with minimal supervision
- Hold a current driving licence and access to your own vehicle
