Request

I am researching premises licensing activity across local authorities and would be very grateful for your help in providing a structured export of your licensing register. I have set out exactly what I am looking for below — please do reach out if anything is unclear and I will be happy to discuss it.

I am requesting the following information held under the Licensing Act 2003:

1. All currently active premises licences

• Licence reference number
• Premises name
• Full premises address and postcode
• Licence holder name
• Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) name, where held
• Licensable activities authorised (e.g. sale of alcohol, regulated entertainment, late-night refreshment)
• Permitted operating hours
• Date licence was granted

2. All premises licence applications currently in progress

(Received by the authority but not yet determined)

• Application reference number
• Premises name and full address
• Date of application
• Application type (new licence / variation / transfer / review)
• Licensable activities applied for
• Operating hours applied for (where available)
• Current status

3. All premises licence applications determined in the last 5 years

• Premises name and full address
• Application type
• Date of application
• Date determined
• Outcome (granted / refused / withdrawn)
• Licensable activities where granted
• Permitted operating hours where granted

Response

1. All currently active premises licences

We have been unable to provide you with the Designated Premises Supervisor as, despite many report writing efforts, the data has not extracted. This has been notified to our external data provider as an issue. Should this information still be required, and depending on whether the company can resolve the problem, it is highly probable that creating further reports would cause the request to exceed 18 hours.

All other requested information has been provided. Please see the provided Excel document. Columns I to HF enable you to filter licensable activities and permitted operating hours. In all cases, T = True indicates the activity is registered and F = False indicates it is not carried out.
