Information on high hedge complaints, rejections, charges and enforcement action by Breckland District Council for 2023-2025.

Request

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information:

2025 calendar year

  • Total number of complaints received regarding neighbours' high hedges (Part 8 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003)
  • Number of complaints received regarding neighbours' high hedges that were rejected
  • Total amount charged to investigate high hedge complaints
  • Total number and total monetary value of fines issued due to a failure to act on a remedial notice issued to trim hedges

2024 calendar year

  • Total number of complaints received regarding neighbours' high hedges
  • Number of complaints received regarding neighbours' high hedges that were rejected
  • Total amount charged to investigate high hedge complaints
  • Total number and total monetary value of fines issued due to a failure to act on a remedial notice issued to trim hedges

2023 calendar year

  • Total number of complaints received regarding neighbours' high hedges
  • Number of complaints received regarding neighbours' high hedges that were rejected
  • Total amount charged to investigate high hedge complaints
