Dereham Dino Day - A ROAR‑some Celebration for the Whole Family!

Dereham is set to come alive with prehistoric fun this May Half Term as Dereham Dino Day takes over the town on Wednesday 27 May 2026. This family‑friendly event marks the exciting completion of the regeneration works in the Market Place — and we're celebrating in true dino style.

Meet the Star Attraction

The high street will be buzzing with activity, with the centrepiece of the day being a dinosaur‑themed bus, specially brought in by Yellow Bus Events. We're also teaming up with ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure and the Mid Norfolk Railway, who will be running their own dinosaur‑themed train experience on Thursday 28 May. Together, these events create a two‑day celebration designed to draw families into the heart of Dereham.

Explore the Town with the Dino Trail

In the weeks leading up to Dino Day, families can take part in a town‑wide dinosaur trail, starting from Friday 15th May until Sunday 31st May. Local businesses will be hiding special letters in their windows — collect them all to reveal a themed word. 

A Market That Supports Local

We're working with Best of Norfolk to offer a curated selection of market stalls to join the festivities, offering products that complement the brilliant businesses already in the town centre.
