Breckland Council is set to launch a ground-breaking Low Carbon Regeneration Programme on 14 February at their latest Net Zero Conference.  The event, being held at Broom Hall Country Hotel, is an integral part of the Council's drive to support and future proof Breckland businesses.

Businesses signing up to the programme will have the opportunity to avail of advice and support including on energy cost reduction and the greater use of renewable energy sources; solutions tailored for businesses located together to maximise shared benefits; and identify funding opportunities for both the project and participating businesses.

The Low Carbon Regeneration Programme will launch at the conference, bringing together Breckland businesses to outline the benefits of working towards net zero.  This will include showcasing local businesses that have already started their net zero journey.  Ultimately the conference will give local businesses the opportunity to discuss their low carbon potential, to network and gain insights from other businesses and council officers.

Cllr Helen Crane, Executive Member for Sustainability commented : "Our Low Carbon Regeneration Programme brings together our commitment to support our business community and to reduce Breckland's carbon emissions as we all move towards a net zero future.

Urging businesses to sign-up, Councillor Paul Claussen, Breckland Executive Member for Economic Development and Growth commented: "This conference represents a significant step forward.  I encourage Breckland's business community to sign up, not just to attend the conference, but for our Low Carbon Regeneration Programme, so that they can avail of this valuable support as we help them on their journey to net zero."
