Good Practice Mentors Workshop
If you work in a service that supports those experiencing social isolation and loneliness, the Good Practice Mentors are delivering this session to share how to create a 'Warm Welcome' in community spaces that everyone feels welcomed into and confident to share their thoughts on your service within. Working with your communities and creating spaces for co-production. The session will explore how to create spaces for co-production and consider which voices you want to involve. The principles of co-production will be applied to different community engagement methods, and the impact of power dynamics and language on the community and organisations who you want to involve will be considered. During the session, the Good Practice Mentors will share how to use informal conversational strategies with the community to build trust. We will also look at the comms and messaging around your work and share 'top tips' around how to create outreach-friendly comms that act as an informal nudge to engagement.
