STATEMENT: Breckland Council residential properties

STATEMENT

We are aware of speculation circulating on Facebook claiming that the Council is selling a group of residential properties while investing in new temporary accommodation.

This is categorically false. The Council is not selling the residential properties as claimed, and we are not using a digital auction house called BidX1.

We are proud of our £9m investment in temporary accommodation. This investment is already saving the Council money, reducing reliance on costly nightly-paid accommodation, and delivering higher-quality homes for people facing homelessness and residents most in need.

We are disappointed that inaccurate and misleading information is being shared.
