This can be tough, requiring careful planning, research, and preparation. With several support sources available locally and nationally, the journey towards business start-up can become a rewarding one. Whether you are looking to become your own boss, turn a hobby into a career or simply to try something new, help is available.

We have a Business Toolkit for you to use and detail for support from many of our partner organisations.  

We also have our Meanwhile Enterprise Programme to assist with funding to move your business onto the High Street for the first time or opening a second premises within the Breckland area.  For further information on the Meanwhile Enterprise Scheme

Growing a business

Are you looking to move into the Breckland District? Looking for a commercial property? Email the team at businessdevelopment@breckland.gov.uk and let us know your requirements. We have links to a number of landowners and landlords as well as working closely with our own Commercial Property team, who manage the assets for Breckland Council.

Do you already have a business and want to grow it and move on to the high street? We currently have a scheme in place, the Meanwhile Enterprise Grant Scheme which could assist you with this. Please email the team on businessdevelopment@breckland.gov.uk and let us know what your business is and where you would like to open.
