28/04/2023: Council calls on communities to celebrate the coronation together

Breckland Council is encouraging residents to make the most of a packed programme of events which are taking place across the district to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

From garden parties, afternoon teas, and big band events to dances, barbeques and public live screenings of the ceremony, there are over 70 community events taking place across Breckland over the coronation weekend.

As well as community-led events a number of large public screenings of the ceremony will take place in the districts major towns.  Each one having been decorated with flags and banners to celebrate the occasion.

A Breckland Council spokesperson said: "With over 70 events planned in our towns and villages, we want to encourage our residents, as well as visitors to the area, to get together to celebrate and mark this momentous event alongside neighbours, family and friends."
