Job Purpose:

To provide technical support and provide responses to Land Search requests (both Official and Personal) on behalf of the Local Authority

Location of Job:

Dereham (remote-enabled)

Description of Duties

Primary Functional Objectives of the Role:

  • Ensure the accurate maintenance and updating of the Local Land Charges Register and all documents and related computer data, according to the Local Land Charges Legislation
  • To register and validate land search requests submitted online including data entry into back office system
  • To compile, collate and return all responses to searches received regarding information on properties or land (both commercial and residential) swiftly and accurately in order to protect the Council from legal action prior to despatch. This will include data inputting and validation of searches.
  • Assisting with queries daily from internal/external sources including solicitors, personal search companies, estate agents and members of the public regarding the completion of searches.
  • Practical use of GIS mapping systems and other databases and written records to collate all the relevant information on the site history, which includes spatially capturing information.
  • To check and reconcile search fees submitted.
  • To assist with project work associated with the Land Registry service.
  • Such other duties as may, from time to time, be allocated appropriate to the grade and contributing to the purpose and objective of the post
