Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Experience of administrative or technical support work within a planning, legal, regulatory, or local authority environment.
- Basic understanding of the planning system, including planning conditions, compliance, or legal agreements (or willingness to learn).
- Experience of maintaining accurate records and managing data on electronic systems.
- Ability to assess the acceptability and/or implications of complex technical reports
- Highly organised and able to adhere to processes ensuring key targets are consistently met
- Excellent computer literacy and IT skills, including an understanding of the way systems can be developed to best meet user needs
- Effectively manage own workload, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate well, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and customers
- Confidence to deal with day-to-day issues as they arise with minimal supervision
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to own car
Desirable
- Experience working with planning obligations (e.g. Section 106 agreements) or planning enforcement/compliance.
- Experience of working with a Local Authority with knowledge of local government financial processes or monitoring contributions.
- Experience using planning software systems (e.g. Idox Cloud Planning, Exacom).
Qualifications

- Education to GCSE A-C in English and Maths or equivalent competence

- Relevant administrative, planning, or local government training
