Referendum on the Watton Neighbourhood Plan
A Referendum relating to the making (agreeing) of the Watton Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 18 January 2024
The question to be asked in the Referendum was:
"Do you want Breckland Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Watton to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The result of the Referendum was
Ballot Papers Issued: 1,058
Votes cast in favour of a 'yes' = 962 (90.9%)
Votes cast in favour of a 'no' = 93 (8.8%)
Votes being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty = 3

Examination of the Neighbourhood Plan
The Examiners Report on the Neighbourhood plan was received on the 30 August 2023.

The Council has appointed Intelligent Plans and Examinations (IPE) Ltd to carry out the examination into the Watton Neighbourhood Plan.
The Examiner has issued a procedural letter and some questions in respect of the Watton Neighbourhood Plan. This is available for viewing below along with Breckland's response.
